“I’m coming brothers” Kevin Durant ‘in touch’ with Warriors stars for potential blockbuster trade
Kevin Durant(35) with the Warriors in 2018
As time goes on, the Kevin Durant trade saga intensifies as the Nets star requests to leave Brooklyn Nets despite having four more years left on his deal. Three teams are frequently mentioned in connection with Durant: the Miami Heat, the Phoenix Suns, and the Toronto Raptors. The Golden State Warriors now seem to be in the race as well, as they try to maybe reunite KD with Stephen Curry and company, which is even more astounding.
According to Marcus Spears of The Athletic, the Warriors’ locker room leaders would “welcome” KD returning to Golden State. In fact, Durant and his old teammates have had some conversations. The Golden State Warriors, Durant’s previous team, are reportedly eager to lure him back to San Francisco to continue their winning teams from 2017 and 2018. More than half the league is said to have reportedly expressed interest in a deal for Durant.
Kevin Durant and his illustrious career as a Dub.
Even though Kevin Durant only played for the Golden State Warriors for three seasons, the team that gave him two titles will always hold a special place in his heart. In each of his three seasons, they reached the NBA Finals, winning it twice, and losing it to the Toronto Raptors in large part due to Achilles problems that restricted him to only 12 minutes in the series. Alongside Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, Durant was the ideal match and won the NBA Finals MVP award for each of the championships.
He was playing some of his most insane playoff stretches before suffering the worst injury in sports. He averaged 34.2 points a contest while shooting 41.6 percent from three-point range and 49.5 percent from the mid-range. Durant has averaged 25.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 208 games for the Warriors in his regular season career with them. The 12-time NBA All-Star decided to sign with the Nets in free agency in the summer of 2019 rather than re-sign with the Warriors and continue to reside at Chase Center after their Finals loss to the Raptors.

Marcus Spears confirms Durant’s plans to run it back with Oakland.
Even after his dramatic departure from Golden State, it’s unclear how serious the Warriors could be about bringing Durant back, but Spears predicted that it would come at a franchise-altering cost. With a transaction involving Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, and James Wiseman, the Warriors “may” perhaps provide the greatest deal for all parties, according to Spears.
Kevin Durant helped the Nets to the playoffs each of the previous two seasons, but they only had one series victory (2021 first round). This season, the Boston Celtics swept them in the opening round. The 2022–23 season will be covered by Durant’s four-year, $194.2 million contract deal, which he signed in August 2021. Over the following several days or weeks, it will become clear whether or if the Warriors are a serious contender to sign Durant. They undoubtedly rank among the clubs most suited to pay Brooklyn’s demand.
