“These people have been hurting for too long” Kevin Durant makes brutal admission to Warriors fans implying he is on par with Andrew Wiggins
Kevin Durant and Andrew Wiggins
Nets star Kevin Durant is witnessing his former team, Golden State Warriors ruthlessly beating its opponents to firmly make their way into the NBA Finals for the 6th time in the last 8 seasons. On the other hand, the Nets were clean swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round. This made one particular Warrior fan reason out that the inclusion of Andrew Wiggins in place of KD has balanced out the team.
Given that Durant was expecting some fans to launch attacks upon his way ever since the Golden State Warriors paved their way into the NBA Finals. The former champion surely knows how to answer such fans and their posts.
One such fan subtly implied that the loss of Durant and the addition of Andrew Wiggins balanced out. In simpler words, it implied that the Brooklyn Nets star’s impact was similar to Wiggins, since the results were the same.
What was opinionated by Kevin Durant?
The Golden State Warriors and Kevin Durant seem to still have a good relation on the court as they are found greeting one another on all and every occasion. But with Durant experiencing a pretty dry run with his team, with whom he wanted to build a different legacy, fans are bound to fire shots at him for consecutive flops in the playoffs.
On the contrary, the Golden State Warriors have managed to re-construct their team and once again reign superior in the Western Conference with the help of youngsters like Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins, who have been pivotal on either ends of the court. Moreover, these youngsters have helped Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to focus more upon their particular attributes.
Now with the Brooklyn Nets’ front office deciding to question the ethics and presence of Kyrie Irving in the team, will we witness Kevin Durant with a new partner before the start of 2022-23 season? Or will the ever-so-magical duo get one more chance of redemption? Remains to be seen.
