“Player of the year” Kevin Durant put Wizards’ Daniel Gafford on skates as Twitter loses control over his impressive performance

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant returns to form as he leads his team to an impressive win over the Washington Wizards. This was a consolation win for the Nets amidst ‘mentally’ tiring incidents. One of the baskets he scored against the Wizards’ Daniel Gafford was termed the best play of the night by many.
The Nets were playing with much pressure with whatever was happening off the court. No one expected them to win, and that too with such a considerable margin. But it all became possible with Kevin leading the charge and justifying his tag as one of the best in the business. During the first quarter, Kevin scored a basket right under the nose of Daniel. He couldn’t stop KD from scoring and slipped while trying to defend him which looked like a nasty ankle breaker, but luckily there was no injury scare to him.
Even though it was just 2 pts, the way he got creative for that was mind-blogging. It felt like he was unstoppable that night. No one will miss Kyrie in the line-up if this is how the Nets keep winning games. Seeing an impressive performance by Kevin, the Twitterati went gaga over him by reacting to one of the best plays by KD on the game night. A few of the reaction tweets can be seen below:
King James reacts to Kevin Durant’s power-packed performance
NBA and Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James took to Twitter to congratulate the Nets star Kevin Durant for his incredible performance. It looked like LeBron was watching the match between the Nets and the Wizards, hence knew about KD’s heroic performance. He tweeted, “INSANE bro!!! Iconic for sure,” replying to a picture of KD in action while shooting.
When Kevin was asked about his super-shot over Daniel Gafford in a post-match interview, he humbly stated that he thought he slipped over some sweat and hence he doesn’t want to take full credit for that particular shot. He added that he was happy that his team got some momentum and also that he got some space to do ‘his thing’ and also that he convert that shot.
Durant finished the game with 28 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds. As they defeated a clueless Washington Wizards 128-86, registering an impressive 42-point victory. The Nets now play against the Charlotte Hornets in the next game and would be looking to replicate a similar kind of performance in the upcoming season.
