Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets may part ways very soon. As the situation around Kyrie Irving isn’t going to settle down anytime soon. This has led KD to think about his future options and ways out as the superstar duo will break apart if Kyrie and the Brooklyn Nets don’t fix their differences and end up on the same page. The off-season this year is going to be wild and the recruitment has been already started. Kevin Durant will probably be the first guy every team in the league would want to land on their roster. But still, that is uncertain as he is under a contract with the Brooklyn Nets.

Last year Kevin Durant signed a four-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets which starts with the 2022-23 season and ends at the 2025-26 season. The deal is worth $198 million. But now the story looks changed as James Harden is gone, Kyrie is someone the franchise doubts on long-term deals, Ben Simmons is still unpredictable and most importantly the Nets got swept in the first round of the playoffs last season. So it’s fair if he’s looking out for his options and wanting to have a successful road ahead with the least hurdles possible.

After the NBA Draft Shams Charania, an NBA insider tweeted regarding the Brooklyn Nets situation and wrote: “Sources: Kevin Durant is monitoring the Brooklyn Nets’ situation and considering options with his future. This now opens the path for Kyrie Irving to proceed on finding a new home via opt-in and trade.” Since then every team is having a close look at the Nets’ star and of course, the recruiting is on too. As soon as the news was out the Portland Trailblazers’ fans were the first one to react with their quick-hands on photoshop as images of KD in Blazers’ jersey alongside Damian Lillard were out everywhere.

Unexpectedly this wasn’t just limited to the fans as even Damian Lillard shared the image on the story (stands deleted) and soon Jusuf Nurkic joined him with a tweet where he also had a missing piece emoji “?” as the Blazers really need someone who can change the game for them. Damian Lillard has always been loyal to the Trailblazers and has decided to stick with them but surely he’ll need someone to get the job done. So that was a good try from him and the team to recruit Kevin Durant but it just didn’t age well. As Tony Durant entered the chat and has it settled.

Tony Durant commented on a post which was hyping up the situation of Kevin Durant and Portland Trailblazers and wrote: “Noooooooooo Sir”. It straightaway stopped the hyped-up scenario of KD being the missing piece. But still, the future of Kevin is unpredictable but soon everything will be revealed as days pass by and something around Kyrie’s situation is decided.
