Kevin Garnett ranks among the greatest players in the game’s history, displaying dominance during his prime and spending 21 years in the league. He clinched a championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008. After retiring, he shared a recent video recounting an incident with rapper Snoop Dogg.

In the video, Garnett recalls attending a Snoop Dogg concert in Toronto before a scheduled game against the Raptors the next day. They met up with Snoop after the show and spent time together until 7 am. KG later described it as “one of the most unprofessional things” he had ever done.

The all-nighter with Snoop visibly affected KG’s performance on the court. Despite leading the league in rebounds at the time and facing a team on a losing streak, he had no rebounds in the first half and finished the game with only two. KG himself shared a video describing the event on Twitter. He said, “We go to the show, the show was banging, Snoop killed that… We played the Toronto Raptors at noon. Halftime, I’m leading the league in rebounds, I have no rebounds.”

KG’s coach, Flip Saunders, called him out for his poor performance, attributing it to hanging out all night with Snoop Dogg. “Flip says ‘God damn you guys. Toronto fans get to see you once. You god damn come here, playing like sh*t’”, You m**herf**kers hanging out with Snoop — you fucking got Snooped,” Garnett narrated.

Ever since Jaylen Brown made All-NBA second team, the Celtics have known that they would offer him a supermax worth 5-year $304 million, making it the richest contract in the NBA. After signing the contract, NBA discourse has turned to trolling Jaylen Brown, with some calling him overrated and questioning if he’s worth such an expensive deal.

One report stated that some front office members around the league believe JB is the ‘3rd or 4th or 5th’ best player on the Celtics. Kevin Garnett took to Twitter to defend JB, arguing that if Brown were ranked that low, it would mean having LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry on the Celtics.

Jaylen Brown has demonstrated incredible promise and is undoubtedly among the top players for the Celtics. He proved his skills during the 2022 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, especially when Jayson Tatum was struggling. Even though he faced challenges against the Miami Heat’s zone defense in the ECF this year, his remarkable contributions make him deserving of the supermax contract.
