As misinformation spreads in the world, we have yet another victim of the ill effects of it. This time, it is Draymond Green who was trapped. In a fake tweet, which was posted by the account “NBACentel”, a parody account of the famous “NBACentral” account, a quote by Kevin Garnett was written, which was actually not true. Green, got defensive and lashed out at Garnett warning him that he had “already tried him” once.

Draymond punching JP is like a senior punching a freshman who’s half his size and then walking around talking himself up as if he’s like that. Come try me, Dray.” The tweet referred to the punching incident from last season which involved Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. The tweet, although fake appeared to be true and the account also had a blue tick, which is the symbol for being verified on the Twitter app.

“I tried you when I was a rookie KG, and you started talking to yourself like I wasn’t talking to you. What’s that like? The freshman picking on a senior citizen that’s double his size?” was what Green had to say as he replied to the fake tweet. What Green didn’t realize, though, was that the tweet was fake and went on challenging Kevin Garnett. The tweet didn’t age well.

Garnett quickly responded, “That’s a fake tweet “NBA Centel” ,” he wrote. “@ElonMusk see wtf is happening. Fix it.” Although Garnett’s original response was based in a more professional manner and it went as follows: “I get it. You have to be a little more patient. You have to be the big homie…..You have to pull a dude to the side and have a one-on-one and get a lot more from that versus doing it in front of everybody.”

Garnett never backs out from confrontations and we have seen that in the NBA. Considering this, according to Twitterattis, Green shouldn’t have fallen for this, as why would Garnett not tell Green directly? Still, Green fell for it and suffered the trolling. Finally, he deleted the tweet and had to face the embarrassment, as people continued to troll the Golden States Warriors’ champ.

Green earlier had defended himself by saying “I don’t just hit people” and talked about how this was not something that was just because he was pissed at him but was an accumulation of events. Jordan, although had not spoken about the punch throughout the whole incident. As both part ways and are playing for different teams now, they will look for the best out of this season.
