Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant has been advised to learn from the off-court business savvy of NBA superstars LeBron James and Kevin Durant. Keyshawn Johnson, former NFL player and current ESPN analyst, recently commented on Morant’s need to improve his off-court behavior, stating that “he needs to learn how to handle his business like LeBron and KD.”
James and Durant have been able to avoid off-court controversies throughout their careers, which has undoubtedly contributed to their continued success on the court. Morant, on the other hand, has faced numerous controversies, including a recent suspension for flashing a handgun on an Instagram live video. This incident has highlighted the need for the young star to improve his decision-making off the court.
Several analysts and former players have offered advice to Morant on how to improve his off-court behavior. Many suggest that he should surround himself with better associates and work on his public image. Despite the controversies, Morant has had a phenomenal year with the Memphis Grizzlies, averaging 27.1 points and 6.0 assists per game.
While Ja Morant has had a successful season on the court, it is clear that he needs to work on his off-court behavior to ensure that he can continue to thrive in the NBA. By taking cues from superstars like LeBron James and Kevin Durant, he can learn how to handle his business off the court and avoid the pitfalls that have plagued other athletes.

Talor Jenkins speaks on the Ja Morant situation

For two games, the Memphis Grizzlies have suspended Ja Morant. Nonetheless, it appears that the franchise has treated its superstar more strictly. Before the Grizzlies’ 135-129 loss to the LA Clippers on Sunday, coach Taylor Jenkins announced that Morant will receive an indefinite suspension.
“We have said that it’s going to be at least these two games. I mean, this is going be an ongoing healing process. … It’s really not a timetable situation. … We’re taking this very seriously,” Jenkins said. “There’s a supportive element for someone that’s got to get better and needs some help. But then there’s also accountability to the team that we’ve got to stand for.”
Ja Morant has apologized for his behavior and issued a statement regarding the recent happenings. He expressed regret to the Memphis community, his family, and his team. Morant stated that he intends to take time away from the court to take care of his well-being and manage stress in a healthier way.
