Khloe Kardashian and Tristen Thompson
Khloe Kardashian is moving on from her tumultuous relationship with Tristan Thompson, but she still has his back when it comes to his basketball career. The reality star showed some support for her ex-boyfriend and the father of her two children by liking an Instagram post that announced his signing with the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.
The post, which featured Thompson and Shaquille Harrison as the newest additions to the Lakers roster, was shared by the team’s official Instagram account on Sunday. “OFFICIAL: Tristan Thompson and Shaquille Harrison are Los Angeles Lakers,” the caption read.
Khloe was one of the 450,000 people who liked the post, signaling that she was happy for her former partner. The on-again-off-again couple share two children, daughter True, and son TJ. She and Tristan have been co-parenting their kids amid allegations of cheating and paternity claims that have rocked their relationship.
Khloe Kardashian is not only supportive of Thompson’s move to the Lakers, but she is also glad he will be closer to their family. Sources close to Khloe told Us Weekly that she is “thrilled” for Tristan and his career and that she “loves” that he will be in LA more.
Tristan recently bought a mansion near Khloe’s home in Hidden Hills, making it easier for them to co-parent their daughter True and son TJ. “She knows this is a huge deal for him and his career and she’s so supportive,” a source said. “She loves that they can have more family time together.”
But don’t expect a romantic reunion between the former couple anytime soon. The source also said that Khloe is “single” and not looking to get back with Tristan or anyone else. “She’s focused on herself and her kids,” the source said.

Tristan Thompson joins LeBron James and the Lakers

Thompson is ready to start a new chapter in his basketball career with the Lakers and reunite with his former teammate and friend, LeBron James. The former Cavalier and Celtic expressed his gratitude for his new opportunity on his Instagram story on Sunday, writing, “Thank you God for this opportunity! Beyond blessed and grateful! Time to get to work LA! Let’s go Lakers!”
Tristan and LeBron have a strong bond on and off the court, as they played together in Cleveland for four seasons and won the NBA title in 2016. LeBron also supported Thompson when he attended Khloe’s baby shower for True in 2018.
Tristan Thompson, who was working as an NBA analyst on ESPN, has left his job and will focus solely on helping the Lakers win another championship. The 32-year-old is signing with LA ahead of the NBA playoffs, teaming up with his former Cavaliers teammate and friend LeBron James.
Thompson had been working as an NBA analyst on “NBA Today” and other ESPN shows since late January. He’s joining the Lakers alongwith guard Shaquille Harrison, adding depth to a talented squad that still had a chance to avoid the play-in tournament entering Sunday. The Lakers ended the regular season as the No. 7 seed and will face the No. 8 Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday in the Play-In. The winner of that game will face the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs.
