LeBron James is already in the GOAT debate and has several on-the-court and off-the-court accolades registered under his name. And, even fans keep awarding him with new nicknames, roles, and even records. One of the many nicknames the fans have gifted him is “LeFlop” for the constant flopping he does to get a trip to the free-throw line so he can get some easy buckets for the team. But lately, LeBron James isn’t riding with this and has dismissed all the flopping allegations against him and the Los Angeles Lakers.

After the Game 4 loss the Golden State Warriors Head Coach, Steve Kerr went on to call out the Los Angeles Lakers for their gamesmanship and flopping actions. As after the close loss at 101-104, Steve Kerr went on to quote: “The Lakers are a team that plays with a lot of gamesmanship. They understand how to generate some calls. I thought they took some flops and were rewarded. I’ll have to see the replays. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe those were all illegal screens, but it didn’t feel like it watching it live.”

Steve Kerr smartly got his thoughts out and a part of it worked during the officiating system for Game 5 too. As the Dubs won the game at 121-106 and have their season alive but still on the line. There weren’t many gifted calls in the game and both teams got 15 free throws each. LeBron James in the game dropped 27 points, 6 assists, and 9 rebounds. He was backed by Anthony Davis (23 points, 3 assists, and 9 rebounds) who ended up leaving the Arena in a wheelchair after getting elbowed on the head. Even Austin Reaves contributed with 21 points.

But none of those were enough for the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers to get the dub against the Warriors. As Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins balled out. After the loss, LeBron James even addressed the flopping allegations against him and his squad by Steve Kerr. And, while doing so he quoted: “I just know that we, our coaching staff and us players, we don’t work on flopping. That’s not even a part of our game. Our game is to attack, attack the paint. We don’t mind physical contact. We actually like the contact, and we don’t shy away from it.

Further, LeBron James added: “So we’re just not a team that goes out there looking for flopping opportunities. That’s just not us. It’s never been. It’s actually never been any team that I’ve played on in my 20 years where we’ve been a flopping team, but it is what it is. They have their right to say what they want to say, but the game is always won in between the four lines, and we’ve gotta be better on Friday for sure.” But the basketball world isn’t riding with this take and is clowning LeBron “LeFlop” James.

Flopping is a part of the game and LeBron James knows that well. But now the only thing which should matter for the King and his squad is to register a dub in Game 6 and wrap up the season for the Golden State Warriors. Or else they’ll be back in San Francisco for Game 7 and that won’t age well for the squad.

Also, AD needs to step up in the paint and have the offense running through him. As that works great for the Los Angeles-based team. Game 6 is scheduled for Friday at Crypto.com Arena at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
