The Sacramento Kings secured their first NBA playoff appearance in 17 years after winning two consecutive games against Portland. Upon returning to Sacramento on Friday night, they were met with an exciting atmosphere to celebrate their achievement.

The scene at the airport was electric, with cowbells ringing and fans chanting “Light the beam” in honor of the team’s success. After putting in a lot of effort to overcome their critics and bring playoff basketball back to Sacramento, the players of Kings were ecstatic to witness the overwhelming support of their fans.

The airport footage clearly captured the fans’ shared feeling of relief, as they had been eagerly anticipating this moment for a long time. This indicates how much the victory meant to both the team and its supporters.

Coach Mike Brown, in his first year with the Kings, was especially happy with the team’s achievement. Brown had played a key role in helping the franchise return to the playoffs, and his leadership had been instrumental in the team’s success. The fans, too, were reveling in the moment, savoring the joy of seeing their team make the playoffs once again.

During the Kings’ arrival in Sacramento, De’Aaron Fox had a remarkable encounter, aside from the warm welcome at the airport. At a practice session on Saturday, Fox shared that a supporter had tossed an In-N-Out bag into his car.

“I think it was full,” Fox told reporter Sean Cunningham, laughing. “They say [the fan] was drunk.” He further added,“The Kings’ fan base can get rowdy and crazy. They really love the city, and they really love the team.”

Fox, who is new to the NBA scene, was amazed by the passion and zeal of the Sacramento Kings’ fans. He drew comparisons between the electric atmosphere at the airport and the excitement surrounding Big Blue Madness, which marks the beginning of the college basketball season at the University of Kentucky.

Coach Brown, too, felt the love from Kings fans on Friday night. He acknowledged that the team’s success had been a long time coming and praised the players for their hard work and dedication.
