With the trade deadline almost at the door, rumors grow more and more. And amongst the heap of those talks was Klay Thompson, who in fairness, hasn’t had the best of seasons this year. From injuries to lack of consistency, the Shooting Guard has found himself in a challenging position. But despite all the words around, he has clear on his views on the ongoing and backing up his teammates and the team.
Thompson said after their dominating 127-104 win at the Philadelphia 76ers, who contributed to 18 points in the entirety of the game
I see Steph Curry, I see Draymond. I go home and check our playoff record as a trio and you have what we had – champions. I believe, I will always believe. It's a long season, so I will always believe we can make a run especially if we're all suited up.
With the trade deadline approaching ever sooner, certain steps have to be taken to give their season form. Sitting with a record with 23 wins and 25 losses, it has been a disaster of a season for the Bayside. But for Klay, he still believes the trio alongside the team can still achieve many things with time and patience.
And the three, Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green have done it in the past. But come the 2023 season, they haven’t really clicked in with injuries, suspensions and consistency. But in the eyes of the Shooting Guard, he might still have hope that the trio could do a lot in the upcoming games.
Steve Kerr Feels Warriors No Changes Needed
The trade deadline is just knocking on the doors and out of many teams, many thought it would be the Golden State Warriors who would be the busiest. But Steve Kerr feels he has other plans – plans to stick to what they have.
After their latest 127-104 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Steve Kerr and his army now face against the Indiana Pacers next. but before the game, fans were more excited about if there was any news of incomings into their team. But Kerr was straightforward with his response saying, “I feel like this group can do something special. I really do. So if we don’t do anything tomorrow, we feel like we have a good group we can push with.” It was a shock of news given their dreadful form into the 2023 season. And for the fans, it was the news they didn’t want to hear at this point.
But with Klay’s words of encouragement, there is a glimmer of hope, as fans feel, that must shine with time. But either way, it’s a fight or flight situation, with an answer only visible with every game forward.
