Who is in charge of Kobe Bryant’s $600 million wealth fortune now?

NBA and Los Angeles Lakers‘ Legend, the late Kobe Bryant, was not just an extraordinary basketball player with a sheer work ethic and confidence in his game, and he was also a savvy businessman.

The Laker star made around $300 million from the Los Angeles Lakers during his playing career, the sixth-highest earnings in NBA history behind LeBron James, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and Kevin Garnett. Bryant also achieved significant financial success beyond the basketball court, thanks to lucrative endorsement deals with prominent brands like McDonald’s, Nike, and Mercedes-Benz.

At the time of his passing in 2020, Kobe had an estimated net worth of approximately $600 million, as reported by Forbes. During his basketball career, Kobe made a highly successful investment by putting $6 million into the sports drink company Body Armor in exchange for a 10% equity stake, as ESPN reported. In a significant development in November 2021, Coca-Cola announced its acquisition of control over Body Armor in a deal worth $5.6 billion.

According to the Wall Street Journal, this acquisition valued Body Armor at $8 billion. As a result of this deal, the Bryant estate reportedly earned approximately $400 million, as detailed in the WSJ report. His surviving family members include his wife Vanessa, who is the executor of the Bryant estate as reported by Fox and ESPN, and his daughters Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
