Kobe Bryant’s Lakers teammates left him DISGUSTED AND APPALLED after celebrating win
Kobe Bryant wasn't happy watching his teammates celebrate a dub after losing 8 games straight.

Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant is undoubtedly one of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball. His work ethic and killer mentality with hours and hours of practice to improve every day had him on another level compared to his competitors. Kobe Bryant was all about winning, whenever he stepped on the NBA hardwood he played with his heart and soul on the court. But late in his career, injuries got him and the Lakers started investing in the young core.
So with no great help and injuries, Kobe Bryant was out of the playoffs in his last three years in the league. But Black Mamba never gave up his Mamba Mentality. And, one of his appearances on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show, just proves it all out. In 2015 Bryant injured his shoulder and a major torn rotator cuff even needed surgery. So he wasn’t even allowed on the bench and without him in the system, the team was struggling on the floor.
The Los Angeles Lakers lost 8 straight games and then, fortunately, made it out of the losing streak after a triple-overtime victory against the Boston Celtics. Jeremy Lin carried the team to the dub. And, during his on-court presser, Jordan Hill and Nick Young crashed the interview. It was a funny interaction and the viral clip of it was shown to Kobe on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” show as he made a special appearance there during rehab.
The video had Jordan Hill and Nick Young celebrating the dub after straight 8 losses. Jeremy Lin was just standing there and smiling at the comments of Nick Young and Jordan Hill who claimed to be back in the business and even complimented the suit of the interviewer with some more funny gestures.
Kobe was literally pissed off watching his teammates celebrate the dub after losing 8 straight games. He didn’t approve of that and gave a fierce look to Jimmy when he was asked: “Would that happen if you were there?” Obviously, none of that would have happened without Kobe Bryant’s presence. As celebrating was the least he cared about if it wasn’t for a championship.

Kobe Bryant’s iconic dialogue for being locked-in with Mamba Mentality

Bryant was always locked-in to win and move up the ladder. He kept chasing championships every year and ended his career with 5 rings. But the 2009 NBA Finals were special. As Kobe Bryant trusted the process and carried the team ahead after the transition phase where Shaquille O’Neal left him. So in the 2009 NBA Finals, he was locked in to get some serious business done and win his fourth championship against the Orlando Magic.
Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers took a 2-0 lead against the Orlando Magic. In the post-game presser of Game 2, a reporter was shocked to see zero emotions on Kobe Bryant’s face. So he questioned him why he was not happy or half happy without a smile. Replying to the question, Black Mamba quoted: “What’s there to be happy about? Job’s not finished. Is the job finished? I don’t think so.”
That’s how serious Kobe Bryant was when it comes to winning and winning it all. These answer of his has become an iconic dialogue today which several players use to convey their feelings of being locked in and trying to give out the best of their efforts.
