Kobe Bryant is undoubtedly the hardest worker ever seen in the league’s history. The 5-NBA champion, who is also the pioneer of the Mamba Mentality, was locked in every day. He hated losing and tried to get better every day to always land on the fortunate winning end. In his quest to be the greatest player ever, Kobe Bryant made several sacrifices, be they partying, enjoying life, hanging out with friends, or especially sleeping.
Kobe Bryant knew his way up by outworking his peers. So he was locked in at the gym, getting better every day when others were sleeping. This mentality and willpower of his have even shocked several superstars like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and others.
Even his coaches were shocked by his work schedule, where he was up early in the morning and training. There will never be any other player like Kobe, as Black Mamba was just a different breed with a killer mentality.
The genuine basketball world wouldn’t be surprised by the fact that Kobe Bryant was out there balling out on 3–4 hours of sleep. But everyone was shocked when he revealed he was playing on zero hours of sleep. In his interview with motivational speaker Patrick Bet-David Bryant, he shocked everyone by revealing how he played a game with zero hours of sleep as they discussed his unusual daily routine.
Kobe Bryant reveals the story of his zero-hours sleep game quoted, “No sleep… Zero sleep, it’s like you know kids, Natalia had a certain health situation, that would have you stay up all night, and then you got to go out and perform because fans don’t know, teammates don’t know, nor do they care, nor should they. That you’ve been up all night, you gotta perform, you gotta go to work man. That’s it.”
Kobe Bryant was a proud girl’s dad, and it’s just him juggling between his two great roles of being the best father and the best player on the court. He was a big family man and unconditionally loved his four daughters. But even he prioritized basketball at the top, and this can be the perfect example of him perfectly balancing both sides. Also, the fans mattered a lot to him, and he has played through pain and several injuries for them.

Kobe Bryant gets his dislocated finger popped back in-game against San Antonio Spurs
Where players today load manage their way to miss games with the minimum injuries. Kobe Bryant was out there playing through pain and influencing others to become the best version of themselves. During his final game against the San Antonio Spurs, he dislocated his middle finger in the final minutes of the closely contested game. It happened when he was chasing a loose ball and his hand hit the ground.
Kobe Bryant didn’t check out of the game and instead went to his trainer, Garry Vitti, near the sidelines, who popped it back into place. And, just after a few seconds, he was back and trying to get the Lakers a dub against the Spurs. He was 37 years old at that time, and with 2:10 on the clock, he could have easily subbed out to get it fixed or get a breather during that unbearable pain.
But Kobe Bryant didn’t do any of that and stayed focused because he wanted to win. But unfortunately, the Los Angeles Lakers fell short and went on to lose the match against the San Antonio Spurs 113-119.
