“The first list where MJ is at No. 3” Kyle Kuzma questions Nick Wright’s ‘Top 50’ players list wherein LeBron James ranks No. 1

“The first list where MJ is at No. 3” Kyle Kuzma questions Nick Wright’s ‘Top 50’ players list wherein LeBron James ranks No. 1

While Kyle Kuzma has played alongside some of the most versatile modern-day players, he has been an avid fan of both LeBron James and Michael Jordan. From having a never-ending brotherhood with the King, to publicly admitting Jordan is the GOAT of the sport, the former Los Angeles Lakers never fails to reveal his true feelings.

So, when NBA Analyst Nick Wright recently revealed his ‘Top 50 players’ list on his social media handle, wherein Michael Jordan was ranked third, Kyle Kuzma could not help but control his feelings to question the ethics of such a list where the Chicago Bulls’ greatest ever is amongst the Top 2. Given that the list is just placed, based on the previous 50 years, the likes of Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Elgon Baylor were all missing.

“This has to be the first list in mankind where MJ is number 3 lol,” Kuzma wrote. While Nick Wright’s list only contains 49 names, with Kareem Abdul Jabbar raking at No. 2, LeBron James is the only name missing from the list. Which undoubtedly would make him rank at No. 1.

The Chicago Bulls, back in 1998, led by General Manager Jerry Krause, wanted new blood on the team. The organization wanted to change the coaching staff and bring in new players. Jordan clarified that he wouldn’t play for any other coach besides Phil Jackson. However, Krause and Jackson’s relationship was so toxic at the time that there was no way the Zen Master could return. Would His Airness had not retired it would have been impossible to stop him from winning even more silverwares, given his competitiveness on the court with the same franchise.

On the other hand, LeBron James might have registered many personal accolades against his name, yet his record in the Finals is not entirely satisfactory. Having won 4 Championships with 3 different teams, another champion ring could very well make Bron’s GOAT case even stronger. Something which Wright would be eagerly hoping for, as it will absolutely increase the credibility of his most recent list.
