Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. was arrested this week after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick, resulting in her sustaining multiple injuries, including a fractured neck vertebrae and numerous bruises. Porter was released on a $75,000 cash bail and pleaded not guilty to both felony charges against him.

Kysre had not released any public statement regarding the incident, but her representatives have now issued a statement in response. In the statement released by Kysre’s representative, Robert Hantman, it was stated that she appreciates the public support she has received. However, all statements attributed to her in the press are considered fake, as she has not provided any statements to the authorities.

“Ms. Gondrezick wants to express her deep appreciation for the public’s support and prayers. Regarding our client, much of what has been written in the press and attributed to her is misleading and inaccurate,” said her representative, Robert Hantman, in a statement provided to Baller Alert.

The statement further emphasized that Kysre has not made any statements on her own and requested that everyone respect her privacy, refrain from making assumptions about the situation, and avoid believing any misleading statements about Kevin Porter Jr.

“She has neither granted nor released any statements of her own volition. She asks everyone to respect her privacy and refrain from speculating about what occurred and from disseminating any misleading statements about Mr. Porter.” The statement reads.

WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick was taken to a hospital after she was assaulted by her boyfriend, and Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr . Porter Jr. was taken into custody by the authorities after they received a 911 call. Following his arrest, KPJ was charged with two felony counts, including assault and strangulation, to which he pleaded not guilty.

As further details came out, they were horrifying, as they revealed that Porter beat Kysre with a closed fist when she was asleep, which led her to get multiple bruises and cuts on her face in addition to a fractured neck vertebra.

Following the incident, the Houston Rockets have started to talk in the league to trade KPJ, in addition to draft compensation, as they can’t immediately waive him. If the accusations are proven to be true in court, it could have serious consequences for Porter Jr.
