Westbrook said in another press conference, this time in the company of his son:

The most important thing about sports, in my opinion, is having fun. I tell my son that all the time. You can compete and you can miss and make shots, turnovers, all of that stuff is going to come win, lose, or draw. But the joy that this game brings is so important. For me, the joy, the energy, is so important. Our bench, our fans were so great to instill that with us. It was so much fun to be on the floor.

This win ensured that the Clippers remain in contention for the NBA postseason via the playoffs as they currently sit fourth in the Western Conference standings. They have now won two in a row after the disappointing away loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
