“I don’t give that s**t any attention” – Lakers’ Anthony Davis is INDIFFERENT to haters for berating him on underperforming nights
Anthony Davis reacts to hate on social media as he redeems himself following Game 3 performance versus the Dubs.
Anthony Davis has been one of the best bigs so far into the postseason. Though not as consistent, when AD gets in his bag, he’s a problem for the team facing. His Lakers tenure had been infected with injuries following his championship season. Los Angeles had a rough couple of seasons after their first championship since 2010.
AD had gone through several injuries in the past two years. His performance was indeed affected by all the pain he had to go through, though he delivered when it mattered the most. Davis has been averaging 21 points, 14 rebounds and two assists a game, while the big man leads the playoffs in blocks with four a game. His numbers have been incredible, but AD isn’t as consistent.
Davis has had a few rough games in this postseason. Out of those, the worst performance was versus the Warriors in Game 2 where he scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Following a low-scoring night, Davis was bashed on social media for not putting in any effort as the Lakers lost by 27. He had similar game nights versus the Grizzlies as well, though AD isn’t bothered by social media’s flames.
Recently AD responded to the hate he received after Game 2. “I don’t know what anybody is saying. Most times it’s just clickbait to draw ratings. I don’t give that s–t any attention.”, said Davis. While no player should bother the heat from fans on the internet, it does become a distraction once it gets under the skin. Davis on the other hand seems like a chill person, who is focused on the end goal.

Anthony Davis has been Locked in on the Defensive end
Davis has been leading the 2023 postseason in blocks per game. AD rejects four shots a game, being the defensive powerhouse he is. Versus the Warriors, Davis seems to be comfortable controlling the paint.
The 30-year-old is averaging 57% from the paint as well as the mid-range area. The Warriors almost look shorthanded, as they can’t seem to find a way to guard Davis.
With the Lakers now up 2-1, Game 4 will be even more interesting as they’ll look to take a 3-1 lead. Los Angeles has come out of nowhere to establish itself as a title contender. The new-look Lakers are definitely a problem.
