“Trash a**!” – Lakers fans PUMMEL Patrick Beverley by mocking him for a disastrous 0-point outing against LeBron James
On the back of a zero point performance against the Lakers, Patrick Beverley is the hot topic for Twitter fan reactions once again.
Patrick Beverley and LeBron James
The Los Angeles Lakers playing against the Chicago Bulls has been a game that guarantees entertainment. Particularly because of the history between the LA-based franchise and the current Bulls guard Patrick Beverley. Once a part of the team, Beverley was animated to his peak in the previous encounter against the Lakers. The last time these two teams met, LeBron James was coming off of an injury and the Bulls did not give the NBA All-Star a warm welcome.
Not only did the visiting Bulls disappoint the home team, but Pat Bev also did not shy away from expressing his feelings. From calling LeBron small to yelling at the crowd in victorious euphoria, he reminded the world that there was no love lost between the two entities. An expression, the Lakers and their fans remembered when these two teams would meet again.
This time around the Bulls played hosts to the Lakers and the visitors had every intention to return the gesture. LeBron James and Anthony Davis led the Lakers to upset the home team scoring 25 and 38 points each. Patrick Beverley, on the other hand, did not have the most memorable games. Failing to score in over 24 minutes of floor time, Pat Bev was most probably the reason behind the result of the game. After all, the guard going pointless in a game does create a lot of pressure on the team. At the end of regulation, the scorecards stood 121-110 in favor of the Lakers.
Fans on Twitter unleash their reactions after the Bulls go down to the Lakers on home soil
Any and every game brings with it a barrage of reactions from fans and critics on Twitter. The Bulls-Lakers face-off was definitely not going to be an exception. The pent-up Lakers and LeBron fans wasted no time in putting out their views. Tweets filled with sarcasm and mockery came flooding after they let the world know what they thought of Pat Bev in particular.
Many fans relished one particular moment in the game between LeBron and Beverley. With the Lakers leading by seven in the first quarter Pat Bev looked to fake a shot and score. Meeting a sturdy denial by the defensive end, LeBron yelled “Hell No,” forcing Beverley to look at a different approach.
The Chicago Bulls are now marginally in Play-In contention with five remaining games. Patrick Beverley, in particular, would like to forget this game and refresh for the next one. With 36 wins at the 10th place in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls would like to add to that tally with everything they’ve got.
