“He wants to follow James Harden’s path” Lakers slapped with brutal reality about LeBron James potentially leaving
Lebron James
LeBron James is a regular name in the NBA headlines as he is the face of the league and especially the Los Angeles Lakers as he is playing for them. But soon it can be a changed story as the King can part ways with the Lakers. If they don’t have him happy there he’ll surely won’t think twice before leaving. LeBron James is already eligible for a contract extension worth $97 million and more with the Lakers but he hasn’t signed it yet. His meetings with the front office were productive but again he doesn’t wants to mess up and has ample time to make a decision. As he is least interested in wasting his time anywhere and not becoming a champion.
The Lakers last season didn’t even make it to the play-in tournament even though they were tagged as contenders even before the season started. The story for the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers is still very same as they have the tag with them since the roster is same and so far no major improvements have been made. The Lakers are trying their best to ship Russell Westbrook across the league and bring in some great supporting cast to run coast to coast with LeBron James but are failing in their every try. If they don’t fix it all as soon as possible and obviously there’s a deadline to it maybe Bron can get on the wheels and look for other options even though life is good in Los Angeles in terms of business and family, a report from NBA insider Kevin O’Connor claims.
Kevin O’Connor believes LeBron James can leave the Lakers to be on the winning side
Kevin O’Connor in his recent report talked about the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James. He focused on their future together and claimed that there are good chances of them parting ways if the team doesn’t improves and adds correct or at least satisfying pieces around the King. One of the many important points he stressed upon was winning still matters to the King. As talking about winning right now, he wrote: “If the Lakers don’t do everything they can to build a title contender around LeBron, or if they try to do so and fail, he should leave for basketball reasons. Family, business, and the joy that comes from living in Los Angeles might outweigh the desire to bolster his legacy in a new city. But there are still chapters to be written that involve him winning on the court…”
Kevin O’Connor is obviously right with his reports and it all makes sense. As for LeBron James as a player, face of the league, future Hall of Famer and most importantly being a member of the G.O.A.T conversation winning more is very important. And, that honestly isn’t possible with the Los Angeles Lakers if they do not improve their roster with correct adjustments. But if Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis get really committed to the game and build some chemistry as the Big Three, it will lead the franchise to sure success. As the team really has the potential to do so. But unfortunately, it ended in a terrible way last season. We hope the story doesn’t repeat in the coming season and they find a way together. If that aged well Bron is surely ending his career as a Laker as he claimed earlier. But one of his dream of sharing the court with his elder son Bronny James may change it all.
