This news comes just before the Clippers’ first-round matchup against the Phoenix Suns, a team that has been on fire lately thanks to the addition of Kevin Durant. The Clippers will have to adjust their game plan without George, who is a key player for them.
Charania stated that the team is preparing for the series with the thought of not having George available. “They are gonna have to get out of this series without [Paul George] if they want a chance potentially to get him back,” he said. This means that the Clippers will have to rely on other players to step up and fill the void left by George’s absence.
