LaVar Ball, father of NBA stars Lonzo and LaMelo Ball and the visionary behind the “Big Baller Brand” boldly declared his prowess, asserting that he could outplay basketball icon Michael Jordan in a one-on-one game.

LaVar’s statement spread like wildfire around the basketball world leaving some fans in disbelief and surprised. During an appearance on Vlad TV, he asserted that he was both faster and stronger than the Chicago Bulls legend.

LaVar continues to insist that MJ was easy picking for him as he said, “Easy….too fast, too strong, there’s nothing he could do. He’s weighing 210 pounds, I weighing 270, and can jump, fast. I’m just going to bag him in, push him off his feet. He’s a little baby to me. And give him a jump hook because I was skilled with either hand to do a jump hook, that’s all. You can’t block jump hooks.”

Comparing their physical attributes, Jordan stood at 6-6 and weighed 198 pounds, while Ball, also listed at 6-6, maintained an unspecified weight but boasted a college-era physique of remarkable strength. Ball, known for his college-era muscular and buffed physique, asserted having an unstoppable jump hook, although lacking concrete evidence to support his boast.

Michael Jordan said LaVar Ball couldn’t beat him 1-on-1 if he were ‘one-legged’

LaVar Ball’s controversial statement about him beating Michael Jordan in a 1v1 basketball match isn’t a piece of new news. He made a similar statement a few years ago too. While Jordan is yet to respond about LaVar’s recent statement,, he replied to him in the past, firmly dismissing LaVar’s claims.

“You got to understand the source. I think he played college, maybe? He averaged 2.2 points a game. Really? It doesn’t deserve a response, but I’ma give it to you because you asked the question,” Jordan said. “I don’t think he could beat me if I was one-legged.”

LaVar had previously asserted his physical ability to outplay Jordan, outlining his strategy to dominate the court.

Jordan’s legendary basketball career, marked by six NBA championships and numerous accolades, stands in stark contrast to Ball’s limited college experience, where he averaged 2.2 points and 2.3 rebounds across 26 games.

Despite this, LaVar Ball persisted in his bravado, recently reaffirming his belief in 2023 that he could still beat MJ in a one-on-one match. The ongoing exchange underscores his tenacity and Jordan’s enduring status as one of basketball’s greatest icons.
