Ja Morant kept getting one after the other bizarre questions while in court. At the Shelby County Circuit Court in Memphis, Tennesee, Morant had another moment that left fans amused and baffled. Morant was talking about the sequence of events that took place between him and Joshua Holloway that led to the alleged assault.
Opposition lawyer Rebecca Adelman, who represents Holloway, had another bizarre question for Morant. When Morant recalled the time he punched Holloway, Adelman asked Morant to show her how he had punched Holloway. To this, he first hesitated. Adelman insisted again to Morant to show how he landed his punch on Holloway. He then proceeded to show her by leading his arm toward her face.

Ja Morant is having to deal with this bizarre series of questions. The Memphis Grizzlies superstar is trying to clear his name in the assault lawsuit filed by Holloway. Morant is eligible to return to the basketball court on December 19th after his 25-game suspension concludes. The NBA‘s suspension has no relation to the misdemeanor assault allegations Morant is currently in court for.
If Morant is found guilty of the charges as filed by Holloway, he would have to stand for trial in April 2024. Will Perry and his associates are representing Morant and his friend Devonte Pack. Perry and all other Morant’s lawyers aim to get immunity from the lawsuit under Tennessee’s stand-your-ground law.
