Oklahoma City Thunder star Josh Giddey was exempted from charges yesterday after police concluded their investigation into his alleged relationship with an underage girl. But that is not the end of it for him. It seems the league has not let Giddey off the hook yet.

Newport Beach Police Department came out with an official statement that they found no corroborating evidence against Giddey. Hence, they have closed the case. But as revealed by TMZ Sports, and as mentioned by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver back in December, the league was waiting for the law enforcement investigation to conclude. It seems now that the league will conduct its own investigation into Giddey’s relationship.

It seems the police department did not find enough corroborating evidence to charge Giddey. However, it is to be noted that the whole world watched as the photos and videos of Giddey’s relationship with a presumed high schooler were spread online. Fans were unsure if the police investigation was proper.
