“LeBron James ain’t the best player in the world anymore” – Ex-NFL player TRASHES Lakers superstar, predicts his ‘least impressive’ championship this year
LeBron James is not the best player in the world anymore after these playoffs according to Ryan Clark
LeBron James
LeBron James won the 41st playoff series of his career to advance to the Western Conference Finals, but former athlete Ryan Clark feels they had an easy run. The Los Angeles Lakers beat the defending champions Golden State Warriors in 6 games, including a blowout win at home to seal the series, with James scoring 30 points to seal their victory.
Ryan Clark, however, feels that this title run from Lebron is not as good compared to other title runs. He appeared on Get Up ESPN and said – “That ain’t Golden State, that ain’t the team that won the championship the year before.” Clark felt the Warriors were not at the level of their 2022 title-winning side as they were only the 6th seed in the West and have had locker room issues all season, including underperformances from key role-players like Jordan Poole.
LeBron James and the Lakers prepare for a bubble rematch against the Denver Nuggets
The Los Angeles Lakers face the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 Western Conference Finals in a rematch from their bubble meeting in 2020. The Lakers came up winners in 6 games that year on their way to their first NBA Championship since 2010. However, this year the Nuggets are the #1 seed and will have home-court advantage, which was not a factor in the NBA bubble.
James is leading the Lakers in points and assists per game despite having one of his lowest-scoring playoff runs. The 17x champions have the best defensive rating of the playoffs this year at 107.5, thanks to co-star Anthony Davis. AD is leading the playoffs in blocks per game, making them a stalwart defensive unit, similar to their 2020 championship formula.
The Los Angeles Lakers take on the Denver Nuggets tonight in game 1 of the conference finals. Nikola Jokic will look to give AD his most brutal battle yet, as he averages 30 points per game these playoffs. The Nuggets have two 25+ points per game scorers in Jamal Murray, and Nikola Jokic will be the most daunting offensive task the Lakers have faced this post-season.
