“How can he stand against MILLIONAIRES” LeBron James bashes NBA over punishment for Suns owner Robert Sarver

LeBron James is all over the NBA headlines as he is not happy with the league for the actions they have taken against the Pheonix Suns majority owner, Robert Sarver. Like many other fans and executives around even LeBron James believes that Adam Silver and company could have done a better job while punishing Robert Sarver and they just went a little easy on him.  A hefty punishment has been announced for him but that’s not satisfying many and they want him to be kicked out of the business as no one wants to be around such a guy or even see his face.

Robert Sarver was under the scanner for inappropriate workplace conduct for years. But he always denied all those allegations. And, now when it’s all revealed after an independent and detailed investigation by the league, guys like LeBron James aren’t wrong if they want a harsher punishment to be announced for him. LeBron James hasn’t said he wants him kicked out of the league but his take is along those lines as he isn’t happy with the league as once again he mentioned that: “There’s no place for such behavior in the league”.

Robert Sarver as of now stands suspended for an entire season and has been fined $10 million by the league due to inappropriate workplace conduct. The league also wants him to “complete training program focused on respect and appropriate workplace conduct”. But this isn’t satisfying the fans and LeBron James as they want him to be treated the same as former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, who was kicked out and forced to sell the team.

The hate from several fans, LeBron James and league executives is very right, understandable and well deserved for him. As the investigation has revealed all his wrongdoings and ill-mannerisms. Reports have revealed how bad of an owner Sarver was. In addition, he was a racist and bully. He is also accused of using the “N-Word” at least five times on different occasions. Robert Sarver was also booked for racism and sexual misconduct with several Suns and Mercury staff members.

Over 70 victims have spoken out against him. The investigation also stated that Robert was also “engaged in instances of inequitable conduct toward female employees” and “made many sex-related comments in the workplace.” Fans are very upset knowing about it and are critical of the league for having such a guy in business since 2004. With the suspension coming in, he won’t be around any activity related to NBA and WNBA for at least a year.

LeBron James comments on the actions taken against Robert Sarver

LeBron James recently commented on the Robert Sarver situation and expressed how he isn’t happy with the actions taken against the owner by Adam Silver and company via his personal Twitter handle. As he wrote: “Read through the Sarver stories a few times now. I gotta be honest…Our league definitely got this wrong. I don’t need to explain why. Y’all read the stories and decide for yourself. I said it before and I’m gonna say it again, there is no place in this league for that kind of behavior.”

Further, LeBron added: “I love this league and I deeply respect our leadership. But this isn’t right. There is no place for misogyny, sexism, and racism in any work place. Don’t matter if you own the team or play for the team. We hold our league up as an example of our values and this aint it.” There are several others who feel the same way and are riding with the King on the situation.

But most of us are forgetting that the case is totally different from the earlier one around Donald Sterling and even Adam Silver has addressed that topic. As he defended the punishments announced. And, the pieces of evidence here are second-hand and testimonials so proving Sarver wrong will be a tough road and that’s not how legal justifications work. So it’s fair to say that NBA has done a pretty good job in addressing the issue and bringing in a change and they’ll continue to do that.
