LeBron James has never limited his success to his on-court heroics and stories and has been great off the court too. He really is living with the expectations everyone had with him even before he got drafted as he was nicked as “The Chosen One”. Today he goes by the name of King James and has got himself a Billion dollars worth of wealth. But the road wasn’t easy for LeBron James. He surely is a smart man and a wise investor as he has never messed up financially and has stayed up and strong. Today he’s a billionaire who owns stakes in Liverpool F.C but many are forgetting about the time when he risked his money in a pizza chain, Blaze Pizza not many knew about. So it’s fair to say that he was and is a believer who trusted the process and stayed in the business and now enjoys the returns.
Blaze Pizza is a Pasadena, California-based fast-casual dining restaurant chain that serves pizza. It was founded in 2011 and didn’t have that much of hype for some time. But soon it was a changed story. As LeBron James in 2012 decided to invest $1 million in Blaze Pizza and soon the business was booming for them. A report by ESPN in 2017 also claimed that LeBron James had a 10 percent stake in the business and over all these years it has just made him more and more money.
Blake Pizza was also named as the fastest growing Pizza Chain in USA in 2016. As Blaze Pizza grew sales 205% compared to the last year, the largest gain of any restaurant chain measured in the 2016 Technomic Top 500 Chain Restaurant Report. Most of the credits for this hype goes to LeBron James as he took the matter into his hands and was getting the job done. LeBron also rejected a deal from McDonald’s which was around $15 millions and went on to build Blaze Pizza.

LeBron James’ role in Blaze Pizza’s successful years
LeBron James made a great investment here. As his $1 million stakes have increased to $40 million by 2020 and the number has surely increased till today. Most of their success came in by 2015 when they brought in a new role for the King. In October 2015, the brand announced a multi-year endorsement deal with the Lakers star. It includes activation through advertising, social media, in-store appearances, and other company campaigns. This brought in most of their customers as people just love Bron out there and of course, he also was great while advertising the brand.
Today Blaze Pizza is one of the biggest pizza chains in the United States of America and is even serving in Canada as an established brand. They have more than 340 restaurants across 41 states and six countries and LeBron James is still out there trying to get the spread as he’s a real one and the owners are extremely happy for having him in the system as they call him the best ambassador they could have ever had.
