LeBron James, sidelined with an ankle injury, couldn’t play in the game against the top-seeded Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference. Nevertheless, he actively supported the team from the courtside, passionately cheering them on. Amidst his absence on the court, he managed to find something to keep himself engaged during the game.
Dealing with soreness in his left ankle, the 20-time NBA All-Star opted not to take the floor at the TD Garden in Boston. The Lakers, to manage his fitness, made the decision. Alongside him on the sidelines was fellow All-Star, Anthony Davis, who was out due to bilateral Achilles tendinopathy and left hip spasms, both stemming from an ankle injury.
Seated on the sidelines, observing his team’s intense battle against their rivals, LeBron James managed to find a moment to clip his nails while sitting beside Davis.
Despite the absence of James and Davis, the LA Lakers managed to secure a 114-105 victory against the Eastern Conference-leading Celtics. Stepping up, was Austin Reaves, who had a huge game, finishing with 32 points, on 10/18 shooting and 7/10 from beyond the arc.

Lakers Center, Jaxson Hayes delivered a double- performance with 16 points and 10 rebounds, adding two assists to the mix. D’Angelo Russell also made a significant impact with 16 points, 14 assists, and eight rebounds. On the Celtics’ side, Jayson Tatum led the charge with 23 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
LeBron James’ agent confirms superstar won’t ask for or be traded
LeBron James fueled trade rumors when he placed an hourglass emoji on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account following the 138-122 loss in Atlanta. Since then, he has refrained from addressing reporters to clarify the message, even missing the Lakers’ game in Boston on Thursday due to an ankle injury. Despite the uncertainty, his agent, Rich Paul, assured ESPN that the 4-time NBA champion is committed to staying with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Responding to the escalating speculation about LeBron’s future ahead of the upcoming trade deadline, Paul stated firmly,
LeBron won't be traded, and we aren't seeking that.
In their efforts to enhance a team currently positioned in ninth place with a record of 25-25 in the Western Conference, the Lakers have engaged in active trade discussions over the past month. Notably, James holds a $51.4 million player option in his contract for the upcoming season with the Lakers, and he retains the flexibility to exercise this option until June 29.
