After sitting out for four weeks due to an injured foot, LeBron James returned to the NBA floor against the Chicago Bulls. Coming off the bench for only the second time in his entire NBA career, the NBA veteran was welcomed with a huge cheer by the Los Angeles Lakers fans. Playing just under thirty minutes in his return, LeBron scored nineteen points with eight rebounds and three assists. The Bulls spoiled the party for LeBron and the Lakers as they beat the home team with a score of 118-108.

LeBron James talks about Lakers’ basketball
The Lakers have been one of the most successful teams in NBA history. The last few seasons, however, have not quite gone their way. Accused of playing sloppy basketball, the fans have been disappointed by the Lakers’ performances. Since they lifted the 2019-20 NBA championship, the Lakers have qualified for the playoffs just once.
The Lakers are currently standing at the 9th spot in the Western Conference. Avoiding elimination by a thin margin, they’re still in a safe spot to qualify for the Play-In tournament. The Western Conference, however, is tight and competitive. The Dallas Mavericks and the Utah Jazz are just a few wins behind from climbing up the ladder. Therefore, the Lakers must make the most of their remaining games to qualify.
When asked how he felt about the team’s performance, LeBron James said he was proud of the team. Disappointed for not being able to contribute, LeBron was still very content with the team for playing competitive ‘Lakers basketball.
He appreciated the team for playing the right way and feels pretty good about their rhythm on the court. Needless to say, LeBron fancies the Lakers’ chances of making it to the playoffs.
