“The King clapped back” LeBron James dominates trash-talking Dion Wright who once called him out

Never in his wildest dreams did Dion Wright think he’ll be put up against Lebron James in a high school gym infront of 2000 people only because of decades old tweets that came back to haunt him in the present day. Imagine publicly criticising one of your favourite NBA players and then having to go toe-to-toe with them on the court.
That’s exactly what happened to Dion Wright, the only man to ever publicly criticise an NBA player and then have to answer to that player. But how did Dion end up in a high school gym in the middle of the summer guarding LeBron James? We must travel back in time to discover the origins of this story.

Dwith Lebron fresh in his villain stage everyone wanted the heat to lose despite the fact them being the favourites , one such fan hoping the Heat to lose was none other than Dion Wright , being 19 years old at the time took to twitter and wrote how he read Lebron like a book and saw past his charades and antics, Miami did go on to lose 2-4 to Dallas that season in 6 games and Wright celebrated.
Once again in 2013 Miami had made to the finals , little did they know that history would once again repeat itself and Miami would be on the receiving end , Spurs were playing lights out in the first half and tim duncan was playing like an absolute madman with 25 points and eight rebounds in the first half alone meanwhile the heat were struggling and lebron was in the midst of another monumental meltdown nine points on 33 shooting with the lowest plus minus among all players in the half so the man himself dion wright took to twitter to lay down a diss that would haunt him in the years to come.
Years passed by and Dion Wright now 31 years of age was faced by the biggest challenge of his career. Having not made it to the NBA , Dion participated in many Pro-Am leagues around the country. he does play internationally and baskets frequently in exhibition tournaments. Wright appears frequently on basketball networks such as “Ball is Life,” “Bleacher Report,” and even the NBA itself.
He has played in Cyprus, Libya, and Ukraine. He most recently played for Cherkasy Mavpy, a Ukrainian League basketball team. While Drew League players are talented basketball players, NBA players are clearly on a different level. Even more so when you’re up against LeBron James, arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. The disparity in talents between James and Wright was clear by his reactions when guarding the four-time NBA champion.
The Match-Up
Playing for the MMV Cheaters , Lebron absolutely destroyed his opponents scoring 42 points 16 rebounds and 3 assists , to add to the party he was joined by NBA star DeMar DeRozan as well who too scored a lot, but instead of it being a one sided match the game ended with a score of 104-102 in the favour of James’ team, however instead of earning praise for his performance against Lebron , Dion Wright was insulted for his performance as he was repeatedly crossed over, posterized, and humiliated by the four-time NBA champion.
When fans began mocking Dion Wright on social media, he had a lot to say in his defence. He jumped right after the game against LeBron James to remark that, despite the King putting on a show, his squad put up a good fight. Wright also mentioned that his opponents had two NBA stars, LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan, whereas his squad had none. Dion Wright’s claim, on the other hand, appeared to be patronising.
Obviously, NBA fans did their homework and decided to punish Wright for a couple tweets he wrote nearly nine years ago. Wright said that if James had not been present, his team would have won the game. Despite having James and DeRozan, the opponent only lost by two points. A few days later, he claimed that he was thrilled to get the chance to play against one of the greatest players of all time. The tweet, which contained many images of them together, went viral rapidly.
Many others mocked Wright’s claims, believing that James saw the tweet before the Drew League game and intended to teach him a lesson. Meanwhile, Dion Wright seemed indifferent about what others think. He informed reporters that the major reason he dressed for the Drew League that day was to share the court with King James.
