LeBron James took to his Twitter and gave an update on his right foot injury. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has been out of action since 26th February. Fans of the Lake Show have been eagerly anticipating the return of James to boost the team’s chances of making the playoffs.

Several reports about the star player targeting a return for the season’s final week spread like wildfire. Reports from reporters like Adrian Wojnarowski, Shams Charania, and Chris Haynes read that James hopes to make his return in the final few games of the regular season. Moreover, on SportsCenter, Dave McMenamin said the Lakers star is set to undergo a re-evaluation. However, The King took umbrage with all the speculation and made sure to debunk all the rumors.

“There wasn’t an evaluation today and there hasn’t been any target date for my return. I’m just working around the clock, every day(3X a day) to give myself to best chance of coming back full strength whenever that is. God bless y’all sourcesI speak for myself!” James tweeted.

James has been spotted engaging in on-court workouts, such as light shooting, before recent Lakers games and during practice. Darvin Ham revealed last week that the forward — as he mentions in his tweet — has been putting in three rigorous workout sessions each day.

With no timetable for James’ return, Lakers supporters will be hoping that the team can still make the playoffs without their superstar. It’s a tense Western Conference race, with teams battling for Play-in or Playoffs berths.

While the Lakers cling to the 9th position in the Western Conference, they are fighting for a play-in tournament ticket. With a 36-37 record and only four games separating the fourth-seeded Phoenix Suns and the 12th-seeded Utah Jazz, the men in purple and gold might make the playoffs even without the play-in tournament.

But nonetheless, in the meantime, they’ll need to win some games without James to keep other postseason hopes intact. The Lakers are 12-14 without James, including his recent absences.

While the Lakers would undoubtedly benefit from having James back on the floor, it’s evident that he’s taking his time to ensure he’s fully recovered. With no definitive date for his comeback, Lakers fans will have to patiently wait for their star player to return to the floor.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for James and the Lakers.
