LeBron James knows a thing or two about the playoffs, and he also knows that the playoffs are a different beast than the regular season. The Los Angeles Lakers star has been there 11 times before, winning four championships with three different teams.

That’s why he had some words of wisdom for his younger teammates, who helped him eliminate the Memphis Grizzlies in six games in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

James, who is in his 20th season in the league, has been the leader and mentor of the Lakers all season long. He averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game in the regular season and played through some injuries to lead the Lakers to the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

As hard as this series felt and as hard as this series was, it gets even harder when you move a level up. So we were able to conquer level one, and now we move to level two. It gets harder and harder. They understood that, and they’ll be ready for it,” James said after the Lakers’ 126-98 blowout win in Game 6 on Friday night.

He also added, “Because we got a young ballclub. Not much experience in the postseason, so just trying to give my knowledge about what I’ve been through and what they can expect.

In the playoffs, James has taken his game to another level, especially in Game 6 against the Grizzlies. He got help from the starting five and the bench alike. D’Angelo Russell dropped 31 points, Anthony Davis got 16 points and grabbed a massive 14 rebounds, and Austin Reaves also chipped in with his impressive 11 points and eight assists.

James has also developed a strong bond with his younger teammates, especially Austin Reaves, who has emerged as a key contributor for the Lakers. Reaves, an undrafted rookie, averaged 9.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in the regular season and has been something else entirely in the playoffs.

The Lakers will need James, Reaves, and Anthony Davis, along with the rest of their roster, to step up their game in the second round, where they will face either the Sacramento Kings or the Golden State Warriors. Both teams present different challenges for the Lakers, who will have to adjust their game plan accordingly.

James is confident that his team will be ready for whatever comes their way. He has been here before, and he knows what it takes to win.
