LeBron James is one of the biggest superstars the NBA has ever seen. He is considered a mammoth of the game, and he has the ability to attract huge crowds to games simply by his presence. As such, LeBron James has become accustomed to having a certain sense of importance. This is often seen in the fact that he always wants calls to go his way.
James has a history of complaining to refs when things don’t go his way. He is often seen arguing with the refs and telling them they either missed a call on him or incorrectly attached a call to his name. It appears, however, that James’ habit of complaining to the refs did not end with basketball. James playing football in high school recently surfaced online. In the clip, when the refs made a call on James, James vehemently argued with the ref.
It appears that even in his school days, James was complaining to the refs when things didn’t go his way. James finds himself going viral from time to time. However, they also happen for the wrong reasons.
However, just because James complains to refs doesn’t mean they always overturn the call. In fact, there have been times when refs have not called fouls on James. One such incident was during a Lakers and Celtics match last year. During crunch time, the Celtics and Lakers were tied 105-105. James had the ball and went for a layup. He was fouled hard by Jayson Tatum. The refs did not award the call, and the Celtics won the game in overtime.

Fans have flooded the internet after seeing the clip of James complaining to the ref in his high school days. They have compared it to the present and have said that some things simply don’t change.
Fans on Twitter took this opportunity to poke fun at James. They commented things like, “Complaining to the refs, yep that’s him.” Here’s what else they had to say:
Fans also poked fun at his running and throwing form. Some added that they’re glad he stuck to basketball. Whatever the sentiment, many fans across the NBA will be glad that James stuck to basketball as well. He has become an all-time great player and he has had one of the longest stretches of any NBA legend. He will be looking to extend that stretch this season as he enters season 21.
