The man who never ages. Even at the age of 39, it seems he has still to prove a lot of things. LeBron James has done it once again, guiding the Los Angeles Lakers to win against arch-nemesis Golden State Warriors. And it was the “King” himself who was the man of the moment for the Lakers. Also, it was against none other than the antagonist of his career, Stephen Curry who as LeBron said “keeps him young”.

After their double-overtime 144-145 win over an out-of-form Golden State Warriors, LeBron claimed in the postgame interview that his competitor Steph Curry keeps pushing him:

Steph came to me after the game and said ‘How does it keep getting better? It’s something that you will truly take all in when you are done playing. When you are able to watch with your grandkids and say that I played against one of the best ever to play this game.

The Warriors managed to drag the game to double-overtime, but wasn’t enough for LeBron and his army, who were dominant from the very start. While both Curry and James gave everything to their teams, it was the latter who came out victorious on away ground.

The Lakers outlast Golden State Warriors in a thriller

A redemption arc for one, and yet another disappointing loss for the other. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors met yet again last night at Chase Center. And it was a thriller. With solo performances to the game reaching over time, it was a delight of a match to watch.

And it was the usual suspects again – running the shows. Stephen Curry and LeBron James were yet again crucial to both of their teams. Curry, who got 46 points and 7 assists was on fire. However, it was LeBron James’ triple-double, with 36 points, 12 assists, and 20 rebounds that got the deal done. The win for the Lakers means they now sit 9th in the Western Conference. As for the Warriors, their story is far from perfect.

With loss after loss, Steve Kerr and his side look completely out of ideas as to what their next approach should be. And for the fans, they hope a solution will be found as soon as possible.
