Bronny James has been working towards a full recovery following his shocking cardiac arrest on July 24th, which had everyone in the basketball community scared and praying for Bronny’s complete recovery. He was recently seen dunking the basketball, and his father, LeBron James, couldn’t be prouder.
In a recent clip, Bronny James was seen performing a windmill dunk that got the crowd hyped up. Bronny’s father, LeBron, shared his thoughts about the clip and expressed how proud he was of his son in an Instagram story, where he wrote, “Back like he never left in no time, definitely an underdog mentality,” highlighting how Bronny has made a speedy recovery and shares the same underdog mentality as him.
Bronny stepping back on the court is a positive sign for his career because now he can get his collegiate career back on track and play his first year of collegiate basketball with USC. He can finally fulfil his dream of playing in the NBA and sharing the court with his father, LeBron.

Bronny James was admitted to the ICU on July 24th after suffering a cardiac arrest while practising with his team, the USC Trojans, at their facility. USC staff acted quickly and kept him stable until the ambulance arrived, after which he was admitted to the hospital. Many speculations were made about why he suffered a cardiac arrest at such a young age.
LeBron was seen with Bronny at the best cardiology hospital in the country, seeking the best diagnosis for him. It was later detected that Bronny has a Congenital Heart defect, which can and will be treated by the doctors, and Bronny will make a full recovery.
Bronny has been considered a first-round pick after committing to USC. He chose USC after averaging an impressive 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists per game at Sierra Canyon High School in his senior year. Now, with Bronny’s condition identified, it will be interesting to see how well he can get back on the court, play with his team, and solidify his NBA career prospects.
