If Bron is our Tom Brady on offense, Anthony Davis is our Ray Lewis. He anchors our defense, he plays middle linebacker, he communicates, he does all of that.

If Darvin Ham was reminded of Tom Brady by LeBron James’s offensive prowess, then he was reminded of Ray Lewis of the Ravens by Anthony Davis’ defensive acumen. Darvin Ham praised AD for setting a standard for both teams and explained how the former always has the young players’ best interests at heart.

He has shown time and time again that he is a formidable offensive leader, even without Darvin Ham having to say so.

LeBron James called the NBA In-Season Tournament MVP

LeBron James can now add another MVP trophy to his story resume, even though it may not be the most important one he has ever won. He was named the first-ever event’s MVP after leading the Los Angeles Lakers to victory in the In-Season Tournament (IST) by running the table. LeBron averaged 26.8 points, 8.2 assists, and 7.5 rebounds in the first six IST games before Saturday’s championship.

His performances in the knockout round cemented his position as the MVP. LeBron took control of the fourth quarter against Kevin Durant of the Suns. He finished with 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists that game. Despite being limited by foul trouble, LeBron managed to please the crowd and have a great performance.

On the whole, the gap in physicality defined the game. With 35 free throw attempts, 23 additional rebounds, and 86 points in the paint, the Lakers emerged victorious. They scored all but ten of their points at the line (2-for-13 from 3) or in the paint.
