LeBron James laughs at Bill Belichick and Patriots’ MISERY as franchise falls to worst start since Lakers superstar’s sophomore year in high school
Following his team's 0-2 start to the season, LeBron James shares a laugh at the expense of New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who hasn't seen such a start since 2000.

The New England Patriots are not having the best start to their NFL season, to say the least. After losing their Week 1 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, almost coming back from a 16-point deficit, they lost again this week to the Miami Dolphins in a game that never felt close. Bill Belichick and his team must figure out a way to overcome these losses, as this is their worst record since 2000, the same year when LeBron James was a sophomore in high school.
Coach Bill is having a hard time rallying his team. In the most recent game against the Dolphins, he threw a tantrum on the field in protest of a ruling. Many, including LeBron, found the incident hilarious. Bron posted a story on his Instagram featuring a reel of Coach Bill throwing a challenge flag on the floor in protest of the call. LeBron wrote, “Bill is hilarious, man!”
The Patriots have not had the best seasons in their franchise history ever since the departure of their franchise player, Tom Brady. Brady was one of those quarterbacks who, even in his late 30s, like LeBron, single-handedly made their team a contender for the title. Since his departure, the team has struggled to replace him and recapture the success they had with him on the roster.
The legendary New England Patriots dynasty under Coach Bill Belichick
The Patriots were a dynasty when Coach Bill was paired with the legendary quarterback Tom Brady. They hadn’t lost back-to-back games at the start of the season since 2000 because, in 2000, they drafted Tom Brady in the sixth round. Brady wasn’t expected to start for the team, but due to an incredible coincidence and unfortunate circumstances, he was asked to become the team’s starting quarterback.
The Patriots won their first Super Bowl in 2002 and didn’t look back. They were a contending team from 2001 until 2019 when Brady decided to leave the Patriots to join the Buccaneers in 2020. In the 20 years he played for the Patriots, he made them contenders every single season. He won six Super Bowl titles with the team in nine Super Bowl appearances, with Coach Bill Belichick at the helm. The duo of Coach Bill and Brady has been etched in history as one of the greatest QB-Coach duos in the league’s history.
