“You motherf***ing bum” – LeBron James LOSES IT at Dillion Brooks, gets into heated engagement with Grizzlies star
LeBron James and Dillion Brooks got into a fiery argument during game two of the first round matchup between the Lakers and Grizzlies
LeBron James
LeBron James got into it with Dillion Brooks during the Los Angeles Lakers’ Game 2 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night. The Grizzlies picked up a 103-93 win and leveled the first-round series after losing the first game. Memphis managed to win without Ja Morant, who was sidelined with a wrist injury he picked up in Game 1.
Dillon Brooks and James were chirping at each other in the third quarter after the Lakers forward made a tough fadeaway shot while being guarded by the Grizzlies star. James was seen mouthing the words, “You motherf***ing bum” to Brooks as they both jogged down the court. Brooks laughed and clapped in James’ face as the Grizzlies were up by 14 points at that stage.

James finished the game with 28 points but was let down by his Lakers teammates in a poor shooting night for Los Angeles.
Anthony Davis or D’Angelo Russell no help to LeBron James
After a stellar Game 1 display, Anthony Davis had one of his worst performances of the season in Game 2 on Wednesday night. He shot an abysmal 4/14 from the field scoring just 13 points in the Laker’s loss. This is his joint-lowest playoff score in a game where he played 30 minutes or more since Game 1 against the Phoenix Suns in 2021, where he put up 13 points on 5-of-16 from the field.
D’Angelo Russell’s Game 2 performance also left a lot to be desired. He shot 2/11 from the field, going 1/6 from two and 1/5 from three. The Lakers guard also had three turnovers and five fouls to add to an abysmal night. In Game 2, the Lakers shot a combined 26% from three-point range.
LeBron James himself had a good game with 28 points but was not on it from three-point range. James shot just 1/8 from three while making 73% of his two-point shots on the night. The Lakers bench showed out in Game 1 but could not replicate similar success in Game 2 which led to a loss to a Morant-less Memphis team. The Lakers will travel back home for Games 3 and 4 with hopes of taking a 3-1 series lead before returning to Memphis for Game 5.
