LeBron and Lillard with 71 points card

Damian Lillard caught fire in a game against the Houston Rockets as he notched up 71 points against the young Rockets team. It was his first game with 60 or more points, which is only behind Kobe Bryant and Wilt Chamberlin. It is the eighth highest-scoring game by a player in NBA history. Los Angles Lakers star LeBron James among other NBA players reacted to the Portland Trail Blazers star’s stellar performance.

Taking to Twitter, James posted a watch emoji, which obviously means “Dame Time”. The four-time NBA champion has always been a huge fan of the Blazers star and previously has tried to recruit him to the Lakers. However, Dame DOLLA rejected the offer at the last moment, saying that he didn’t want to ditch his city for a championship and would eventually win one in Portland itself.

LeBron and the Lakers had a historical night for themselves, as they cut down a 27 points deficit to win the game against the Dallas Mavericks. Entering the third quarter they were trailing by 14 points and limited the Mavs to just 20 points in the third quarter. James and Anthony Davis combined for 18 points in the fourth quarter to win the game by 108-111. The 19 x All-Star scored 26 points, while Davis scored game-high 30 points for the win.

If there is any word to describe what the Los Angeles Lakers did against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, it would be “unbelievable”. Till the end of the second quarter, the Lakers couldn’t make a shot and the Mavs kept on increasing the lead. However, things started to turn around in the third quarter. Lakers started to make some shots and started to put choking defence against Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving to stop them from scoring.

Perhaps, if anyone deserved more credit than anyone else on the team, it is Jarred Vanderbilt. He not only started to make crucial shots but also went for a full-court defense against the opponent. Vanderbilt had 15 points, 17 rebounds, and four steals. He also played an excellent defence against Doncic in the third and fourth quarters. Davis and James scored 30 and 26 points respectively while combining for 18 points in the fourth quarter.
