“LeBron James is coming for Dillon Brooks” – Lakers superstar’s personal VENDETTA against controversial loudmouth reason for USA super team at Olympics, claims Stephen A. Smith

In the recently concluded FIBA World Cup, Canada faced off against the USA in the bronze match. In what followed, the Canadian team trumped the Americans on the international stage, beating them by 9 points to take home bronze. The team was led by none other than the player fans are calling the NBA’s new villain – Dillon Brooks.
Shortly after the USA’s defeat, The Athletic reported that NBA superstar LeBron James was now willing to commit to playing for the USA in the Paris 2024 Olympics. Moreover, he has conversed with several other stars, asking them to play alongside him in Paris. This burst of enthusiasm to play for his country makes you wonder. It is no secret that James and Brooks have previously had an altercation. Perhaps seeing his country lose to a team that was led by Brooks was what pushed LeBron to make this commitment.
Stephen A. Smith believes these comments by James are a good sign for the USA, adding that this defeat will probably give Team USA the push they require.
“[Team USA] fell to Canada. Team Canada was led by Dillon Brooks of the Memphis Grizzlies. The same Dillon Brooks that couldn’t do anything right in the first round of the playoffs against the Los Angeles Lakers. That brother dropped 39 points…and was named the tournament’s best defensive player by FIBA,” Smith said. “Ladies and gentlemen, there’s no need to wonder why LeBron James, according to reports, has suddenly acknowledged he would like to participate in the 2024 Olympics in Paris…LeBron ain’t having that.”
Smith thinks that other countries have begun to doubt the USA’s ability to win in international basketball. He believes that the USA team needs to show the world that they are still the most dominant force in the building, and according to him, Dillon Brooks defeating the USA is exactly the kind of motivation they need.

What happened between LeBron James and Dillon Brooks during last season’s playoffs?
In the first round of the Western Conference playoffs, the Memphis Grizzlies faced the Los Angeles Lakers. Brooks made unsavory remarks towards James in a Grizzlies game one loss. Things really heated up when, following a Grizzlies victory in game 2, Brooks called LeBron old and was reported saying, “I poke bears. I don’t respect anyone until they come and give me 40.” The Lakers then went on to win that series. After he won, LeBron sent out a tweet in which he insinuated Brooks was immature and “little”.
LeBron emerged victorious in the duel against Brooks due to the Lakers’ win over the Grizzlies. However, it appears the tide may be shifting, with LeBron now finding himself on the losing end. Regardless of the outcome for Team USA, it’s almost certain that LeBron will give his utmost effort.
