“People who love the country can change it” LeBron James quoted Barack Obama while advocating for gun control in the United States

LeBron James has always been one of the loudest voices whenever he felt it was necessary to stand up for or against something to bring a change. He was a very active participant during the fight against social justice, racial reforms, and police brutality and has always been promoting the Black Lives Matter movement knowing how important it is and how capable he is to use his platforms correctly. Recently, LeBron James made it to the headlines as he brought Barack Obama into the conversation of gun control and sale. As just a few days ago a tragic event took place at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, United States of America. Where 19 children and 2 teachers lost their lives to a open fire by an 18-year-old who was carrying rifles and wasn’t even in the correct state of mind.

This really is high time for the country as innocents aren’t supposed to die in open fires started by someone who shouldn’t even be around arms but due to the policy can own one or multiple. Since the tragic event names like Steve Kerr, Stephen Curry, Gabe Kapler (who has also started a peaceful protest of not attending the national anthem) and many others including the King himself have stepped up against the selling of guns and want a change made as soon as possible because it creates a threat to the lives of the younger generation who are going to run the country one day. LeBron James to believes the same and himself is a dad to three children so it’s understandable how emotionally connected he can be to the topic, and throughout his career, he has always been a real one to the society from donating a part of his wealth to building schools.

LeBron James is one of the most influential people around on social media. As he has a fan following of millions on many different platforms. So a tweet from his side is really capable of bringing a change. As he is the guy who can start the rally and pass it on to his non-corrupt and responsible fans to spread the message. Which eventually can make the political leaders change the policy.
