He has joined a limited group of athletes whose net worth exceeds 10 figures. An investment in Liverpool FC is one of those businesses. James and the owners, Fenway Sports Group, are partners. He has been a vocal supporter of “The Reds” since since this partnership was made public, and he frequently gives them his support. Even if he keeps quiet about the Lakers’ acquisitions, he was quick to respond to the biggest Reds’ transfer window news: Mo Salah‘s massive deal!
With only one season remaining on his Liverpool contract, there were concerns that the Egyptian goal scorer may depart the club following the campaign if he and the club couldn’t come to an agreement on a new contract. To the surprise of many, the 30-year-old did, however, sign a three-year deal that will, according to reports, pay him £350,000 per week. James, who has a small ownership position in the Premier League team, posted on Instagram to express his happiness for his fellow athlete Salah when it was announced that he will be remaining.

The Los Angeles Lakers forward paid $6.5M (4.7 million pounds) in April 2011 for a 2 percent stake in Liverpool with his business partner Maverick Carter. Liverpool has seen remarkable success on the pitch since James joined as a minority stakeholder, winning the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League for the first time the following year. With only four points separating them from league-leading Chelsea, Jürgen Klopp’s club is presently fourth in the Premier League and has already secured a spot in the Round of 16 of the current Champions League. Their market value, operational income, and revenue are all impacted by all of that.

The fact that Mo Salah has renewed his contract is fantastic news for the team’s chances of winning the Champions League in the future because he is a key component of Jurgen Klopp’s system.
