Victor Wembanyama is already regarded as one of the best rookies to come into the league in a long time. His unique blend of size, skill, and IQ are well regarded in the league. But his intelligence came into the limelight when one of his daily habits was mentioned by one of his teammates. Basketball fans found the reaction as a direct troll at LeBron James.

Wembanyama has a strict policy of no calls after 9:30 in the night. The San Antonio Spurs organization has enforced that rule to provide the player ‘his personal time’. It is not surprising to find out what he does during this time. Teammate Tre Jones revealed the following while talking to San Antonio Express News:

Victor Wembanyama often has a book in his hands. According to teammates, he even carries a book during their flights. They also joke about how books look hilariously small in Wembanyama’s giant hands. However, they are appreciative of him spending his time with actual books rather than gadgets. This is despite the fact that head coach Gregg Popovich encourages reading as a habit for his players.

Jones confirmed to writer Tom Orsborne that Wembanyama is an avid reader. Wembanyama seemingly reads a lot and spends an hour with books every night before sleeping.
