LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers bounced back in a commanding 134-110 victory at home against the Portland Trail Blazers, redeeming themselves after a previous disappointing home loss to the Brooklyn Nets. In this impressive game, LeBron contributed with 28 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds.
Following the game, LeBron James found himself addressing a misleading post on the popular social media platform, Instagram. The post falsely suggested a rift between him and Lakers head coach Darvin Ham, alleging that James intentionally subbed himself off during the Lakers-Portland game.

In the fourth quarter of the game, a moment unfolded when LeBron James committed a foul on Portland Trail Blazers’ rookie, Scoot Henderson. Subsequently, he seemed to be heading towards the Lakers bench without any verbal communication with the head coach. This led to assumptions that he was voluntarily benching himself without Ham’s approval.
This eventually prompted the false post on Instagram. And it’s not common for sports personalities to respond to every random post on social media, but LeBron James did, giving context to his actions and defending his head coach.
No I didn't. DHam told me to foul then to call a TO. He was subbing me out. Stop with the BS!
The win took the Lakers to 9th place in the Western Conference standings. Next for the Lakers is a match-up against their in-form neighbors, the Los Angeles Clippers.
LeBron James to miss Clippers game with injury
LeBron James, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, will miss the showdown between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Los Angeles Lakers because of an ankle injury. James has missed a number of games due to the niggling injury already.

The Lakers unveiled their injury list before the game, officially ruling out James. At 39 years old, holding the title of the oldest active player, he has only missed five games this season. Remarkably, the January 13th game against the Utah Jazz stands as the latest one he sat out. Moreover, the Lakers have properly handled his fitness throughout the season.
Given that the game against their neighbors is nationally televised, fans would feel disappointed not seeing their superstar in action. Throughout this season, he’s been delivering impressive stats, averaging 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 7.4 assists. His shooting percentages are equally noteworthy, standing at 52 percent from the floor and 39.1 percent from beyond the arc.
