LeBron James and the late great Kobe Bryant had a lot of respect for each other. Bryant even defended James when he joined the Los Angeles Lakers, back in 2018. James was visibly distraught when Bryant tragically passed away in 2020.

Now, a fan-made video of an apparent voice-over question and James’ reaction has been running on the internet. The video is so vile that even fans were quick to criticize it. In the clip, LeBron James can be sitting beside his Lakers teammates. The video has a voice-over asking Lebron the following;

Yo Bron, why do you sacrifice Kobe.

The end of the video shows James looking toward the camera baffled. Now, the voice-over question was so vile, that it has drawn the ire of fans. Made in apparent mockery of the relationship between James and Bryant, especially after the latter’s unfortunate death, the video resulted in flak on the internet.

LeBron James and Kobe Bryant have been rivals on opposing teams during Bryant’s career. But Bryant had huge respect for James. They were friends from James’ early days and grew close especially after James decided to join the Lakers in 2018. To such an extent that Bryant defended James when he decided to join the storied franchise.

Kobe Bryant, a 5 time NBA Champion, was one of the reasons why James wanted to join the Lakers in the first place. Bryant was appreciative of the then 3-time champion’s desire to join the Purple and Gold. After all, Bryant being a die-hard Laker, wanted more championships for his beloved team. James coming to the Lakers and winning the title the year Bryant passed away was the perfect parting gift James could have given his late friend.

Basketball fans send strong words after LeBron James voiceover goes viral

The growth of social media has led to people using bizarre methods in a bid to add followers. The fact that someone took the time to make a voice-over and edit the video did not sit well with fans. Not when you consider one of them is no longer in this world and the other was their longtime friend.

Someone wanted to make a video viral, which involved a late great athlete and a player who continues to give his best for the LA Lakers, even at 39. The video in itself seemed disrespectful to two players who are often brought up during GOAT debates.
