LeBron James and JJ Redick's podcast has amassed over 1.5 million viewers on YouTube.

Analyst hates LeBron James' 'I was chosen' comment he used to justify his high IQ and greatness on new podcast
The new podcast featuring LeBron James and JJ Redick caused waves in the minds of fans, players, and the media. Many raved at the purely basketball-related conversations the two shared. However, a comment from James caught the attention of some people. The ‘I was chosen’ comment has a hater in the form of Analyst Ric Bucher.
The sports talk show Speak on FS1 discussed LeBron James‘ ‘I was chosen’ comment. Ric Bucher has a history of critiquing James. On that comment, analyst Ric Bucher had this to say:
I could not hate this more. There's a big difference between saying I am blessed, and I am chosen. When you announce and say I am the greatest ever, and this is how I became the greatest ever? There is no ounce of humility in that. At all. And that, is what I hate.Ric Bucher via FS1

Bucher alluded that adding terms like ‘chosen one’ only made LeBron James’ claim to be the greatest of all time sound bad.
Bucher perceived the comment as portraying James as destined to become the greatest. It took out the element of hard work. The NBA analyst felt the comment made it sound disrespectful to other basketball greats as well. It also brings the four-time league MVP‘s humility into doubt.
The ‘I was chosen’ line might have rubbed other players the wrong way as well. So far, only Ric Bucher has publicly criticized James on it. It remains to be seen if more athletes or analysts will make their feelings known in the coming days.
