LeBron James, the star of the Los Angeles Lakers, came under fire on Tuesday for his actions when he went to the Galen Centre to watch his son Bronny James play in his first collegiate game after suffering a cardiac arrest earlier in the summer. LeBron could see his son play in his first college game. But some onlookers seemed irritated by his arrival time.
James, along with his younger son Bryce and two of his Sierra Canyon High School teammates, entered the arena in the video that reporter Luca Evans of the Orange County Register shared on X. While the national anthem was playing, James was seen in the video entering the arena. Witnesses saw that James made no stop, no hat-tip, no gesture of respect for the national anthem. He chose to move on in the direction of his seat instead.

Users of X noticed that James did not take off his hat, as is customary during the national anthem, but sat down in his chair as soon as “The Star-Spangled Banner” began to play on the speakers. Towards the end of the video, he stands. Because he didn’t stand for the national anthem, it immediately attacked him for supposedly having “zero respect” for the United States and for detesting the nation.
LeBron has not yet responded to the controversy in the media. It’s unclear whether. James has not yet publicly addressed the matter, but according to media reports, he will do so shortly. He’ll probably apologize for any offense he may have caused and explain his lateness.
LeBron James’s refusal to stand during the National Anthem provoked strong reactions from fans who felt disrespectful to their country
Bronny James played 16 minutes on the court and scored 4 points, 2 of which came from a three-point range and a free throw. In addition, he made two assists, and two steals, pulled down three rebounds, and blocked one shot. The National Anthem was playing in the background when LeBron James chose not to stand or stop, and this caused a backlash on social media.

Many disrespecting the flag, the nation, and the veterans who fought for its freedom, which infuriated and disappointed them, accused LeBron. Social media sites were overrun with insulting comments and hashtags directed at LeBron James, expressing the general disapproval that people had for his behavior. Some who offered plausible justifications for his tardiness defended James. They cited the event’s hectic schedule.
LeBron has already been under fire for allegedly showing a lack of respect for the playing of the national anthem. In a 2019 NBA video that was posted on ESPN, James was inspiring the crowd right before the end of the National Anthem during a Lakers game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
