The Los Angeles Lakers ended a four-game losing streak on Saturday night by defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 129-120 after a season-high 40 points from LeBron James.

In addition to being there for his team, the 38-year-old superstar is constantly there for his family as well, with the same kind of efficiency. He has previously discussed how his family comes first on his priority list and claimed he would have no qualms about skipping a Los Angeles Lakers game to watch his son, Bronny James, play.

While his team triumphed over the Thunder, James chose the occasion to express affection for Bronny James. Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest back in July and only recently made his return for USC against Long Beach State. James expressed his affection for Bronny after the Lakers snapped their losing streak.

With Christmas approaching, the media questioned him about his son following the game. The 38-year-old lavished him with compliments. LeBron James said,

“He’s the best. Straight up.”

After losing 4 in a row, the Lakers were in obvious decline. Even with a worn-out lineup, the team had managed to win the NBA Cup, but things were starting to get tough. In the end, James prepared his team and included Bronny in the discussion.

On December 10, Bronny finally got on the court for his eagerly awaited debut with the USC Trojans. He started the game off the bench and played for 16 minutes in an overtime 84-79 loss to Long Beach State. He had 4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and one spectacular chase-down block to boot.

If LeBron James and Bronny James faced off, how would it go?

On a recent Ticket & The Truth podcast episode, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett got into a hilarious argument. The question was who, in the current state of affairs, between LeBron James and Bronny James would prevail in a one-on-one match. Considering that one is already among the greatest players of all time and the other has a long way to go before even joining the NBA, most will have an obvious answer.

Kevin Garnett, however, thought James would find it difficult to overcome his son. Paul Pierce responded with laughter, claiming,

Bronny don’t want no smoke with big LeBron right now, no he not. Not right now, He doesn’t have to go full steam right now. He is only 6′ 2. LeBron is 6′ 9. He ain’t got his grown man strength yet".

Even though the two Celtics legends usually agree on most things, when it came to LeBron James vs Bronny James, they had different conclusions. Garnett went on to propose that they have a father-son match and invite other father-son teams from the NBA to see who turns out to be the winner.
