LeBron James states how his ‘morals’ will never allow him to root for Dallas Cowboys again

Los Angeles Lakers’ marquee LeBron James is an avid follower of the NFL. Having shown his support for several teams, there is one team in particular that the King cannot cheer for. During a recent Instagram Live chat, the 37-year-old explained why he stopped being a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Citing an incident where a Cowboys teammate prevented players from kneeling during the National Anthem, LeBron James emphasized on how he is locked in to be a Cleveland Brown fan, for good. However, Bron added that it is all against the organization and that he still cheers for several Cowboys players – CeeDee Lamb, Ezekiel Elliott, and Mike McCarthy.
LeBron said, “Nah man, I have to sit out on the (Dallas) Cowboys. It’s just a lot of things that was going on during, you know – when guys were kneeling. A lot of people in their front office and a lot of people that ran the organization was like, ‘If you do that around here, then you’ll never play for this franchise ever again.’”

To those who are unaware, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made it crystal clear in 2017 that no player on his team will be allowed to disrespect the flag, in any manner. Following this incident, Dontari Poe was also cut by the team (supposedly for being overweight). Interestingly, he was also the team’s first and only player to kneel during the national anthem couple of weeks ago.
The 4xNBA MVP cleared the air, regarding his support as well. LeBron said that now he’s an absolute Cleveland Browns fan and is ‘all in’ for the same team. It is indeed strange to witness LeBron picking the Browns, of all teams, as his new team to support. To remind everyone – this is the same team that contains Deshaun Watson, who has been credibly accused of sexual misconduct and assault by more than 25 women.
That being said, now you clearly have an answer for where LeBron James’ loyalty lies when it comes to NFL. On one hand, where his reason to snub Cowboys makes perfect sense. Not many would agree upon his latest team to support.
