The 2024 Paris Olympics could witness the union of USA basketball’s finest and form a team that would rival the 1992 Dream Team and 2008 Redeem Team. A strong group of veteran players, led by LeBron James, are rumored to be eager to take part in the Paris Olympics next summer.
LeBron James, now the NBA’s highest-scorer ever, has not only shown a strong inclination towards participating in the upcoming Paris Olympics, but is also rallying multiple basketball giants to join forces with him, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
While the team-up may appear as a response to Team USA’s disappointing performance at the recently concluded FIBA World Cup, where they finished fourth, that is reportedly not the case. This seems to be more about reclaiming glory and offering fans an opportunity to witness a team-up of these seasoned players on the Olympic stage.
The prospective team is packed with with reowned names. Reportedly, personalities such as Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Anthony Davis have shown a positive response to James’ call. Other notable players like Devin Booker, Damian Lillard, and Kyrie Irving are also considering commitment, hinting at the possible assembly of a dominant team that could easily contend for gold.
